At CrossFit Macomb we offer programs that are measurable and repeatable. The pathway for obtaining results is increasing intensity. In other gyms and health clubs the typical workout consists of isolated movements and long 40 to 50 minute aerobic sessions. At CrossFit Macomb we work exclusively through compound movements and short high intensity cardiovascular sessions.
If you want to be pampered go to Lifetime Fitness. If you want to ride an elliptical for 45 minutes then go to Snap Fitness. But if you want to change how you train and get results , then you need to come to CrossFit Macomb. CrossFit Macomb's mission is to change the way athletes and families train by utilizing functional movements, performed at a high intensity, and varied constantly to one's self for the unexpected.

What is CrossFit Macomb?

CrossFit Macomb is an elite fitness facility that focuses on training individuals using CrossFit methods and techniques. We focus on fundamental movements which mimic the same movements you perform on a daily basis. The classes provide an unique sense of intensity due to the competitive nature of the facility.
CrossFit Macomb's mission is to provide quantifiable results to athletes and families by utilizing functional movements, performed at a high intensity, and varied constantly to ready one's self for any unexpected task.

What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is functional movements, performed at a high intensity, and is varied constantly. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. The specialty of CrossFit is not specializing.
CrossFit will increase your work capacity. In other words, this program gets you fitter and fitter throughout your entire life.

Is CrossFit for me?
______________________________________________________

Absolutely!
The needs of Olympic athletes and grandparents differ by degree not kind.
CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. However, it is also being implemented in nursing homes with the elderly. So if your fitness falls somewhere in between, then we can probably help you.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. Soldiers, cyclists, triathletes, housewives, and college students find their best fitness from the same regiment.

How do I start?

First things first, the only way to begin your training at CrossFit Macomb is to go through our "On Ramp Course".
We do offer a FREE session on Saturday for you to check out our gym and go through a scaled back workout of the day (WOD).

What should I eat?
______________________________________________________

Eat meats and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. What this means is that you should stay away from processed foods.
Nutrition is the base of overall health and fitness. We understand that at CrossFit Macomb and put a priority on diet and nutrition.
It has been said that 90% of your health and fitness is dependent on what you eat. So if its the difference between eating fast greasy food through the drive-through to get to the gym or going home and eating a healthy well balanced mean then we prefer the latter.
The best way to shop is to stay to the perimeter of the grocery store while avoiding the aisles. Food is perishable, and the stuff on the shelf has preservatives to keep it from expiring. The perimeter of the grocery store consists of your veggies and fruits, meats, nuts, seeds, and dairy.

How much for a Membership?
______________________________________________________

We have two types of memberships:
Unlimited Membership: $135
3 Class / Week Membership: $110

The Unlimited Membership is just that, any class, any day, multiple classes, multiple days. The 3 Class / Week Membership allows you to come to three group classes per week. We also offer punchcards for the sporadic CrossFitter, and a Drop-In fee of $15.

We have several discounts for military, police, firefighters, family, couple, and multi-month discounts. Please contact us about these discounts.

We are not giving discounts on the punch card at this time. Remember our priorities are SAFETY, EFFICIENCY, and COMMITMENT (ours and yours). The punch cards don't scream commitment. However, they do have a place. The punch cards are $10 a visit. And you can purchase those in multiples of ten, so $100, $200, $300, ect. So $200 could last 3 months at two visits a week, but we may not see results as quickly.

Why is the program so expensive?
______________________________________________________


CrossFit Macomb offers something that most gyms do not. You can easily get a membership at Snap Fitness or Powerhouse for $30 to $50/month which is half of what we charge. But you get what you pay for! At these types of gyms you are paying for the rows of ellipticals, tvs, and complicated isometric pulley machines. However, you are left on your own to figure out your own programming which is often within your comfort zone and you get no where toward your fitness results.
You could hire a personal trainer for $60 to $100/hour! And if you workout a minimum of 3 days per week then you could pay up to $1,200 a month.
There is nothing wrong with either of these options, in fact we feel each has its place, especially, personal one-on-one training, which we offer as well.
At CrossFit Macomb, we do your programming, teach you the importance of nutrition, and provide a competitive atmosphere where every athlete is doing the same workout at the same intensity and pushing themselves to beat their last time or load.
We can tailor your programming to fit your budget. Let's face it though, at CrossFit Macomb we offer you reasonable fitness training without the distractions of the commercial gym and without the cost of a personal trainer, all the while getting better results.
Remember, we are not your typical gym. We don't like it when you are not using your membership. We want committed athletes that are striving to improve their fitness. If you start to slack off we will be motivating you to come back to the gym or suggest another option that better serves your particular needs so that you can get the most out of you money.
